Christmas Day lunch in Bury St Edmunds costs £62.95 at the Bushel to £115 at Ravenwood Hall: eight places with 2026 prices, child prices and deposits checked.
For Christmas Day in the town centre, the Fox on Eastgate Street charges £78 for three courses and the Old Cannon Brewery £95.25. The Tollgate (£66) and the Bushel (£62.95) are the cheapest published prices in town, and Ravenwood Hall at Rougham is the top end at £115. Every entry was checked against the venue’s own site on 2 November 2026.
We have not eaten at any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry gives the 2026 price from the venue’s own Christmas page or menu, what it includes, any child price, the deposit and the Food Standards Agency hygiene rating. Christmas Day 2026 is a Friday. Most of these places take a deposit when you book and want your menu choices in advance. The last section covers three places with festive menus through December but no Christmas Day lunch you can book on its own.

How we chose
These are the pubs, hotels and restaurants in and around Bury St Edmunds that publish a 2026 Christmas price on their own websites and hold a Food Standards Agency hygiene rating of 3 or more. Every price, deposit and deadline comes from the venue’s own Christmas page or menu, read on 2 November 2026; the hygiene ratings come from the FSA register (West Suffolk Council). The pub opening hours shown are what each pub page listed on the day we checked; Christmas hours may differ. Some places are not here yet: the Ickworth Hotel sells Christmas only as residential breaks, and the Northgate’s website could not be read when we checked. Prices and availability change as tables fill, so check with the venue before you book. Run a place that should be here, or spot something that has changed? Email newsdesk@burystedmundspost.co.uk. Taken a good photograph of any of these places? Email it to newsdesk@burystedmundspost.co.uk and we will add it with your name as the credit.
